Allows use of 35mm film lenses on 2/3” CCD video cameras. The Pro35 Digital projects the 16x22mm image produced by a 35mm lens onto an specially designed, eccentrically moving ground glass. This image is then relayed to the 2/3 “ ccd sensor maintaining the 35mm depth-of-field and angle-of-view.
Light loss with the adapter is approx 1.5 - 2 stops. With Zeiss Superspeed lenses at T1.3 (wide open) you will loose about 1/2 - 1 stop of light compared to using a video zoom lens at F1.9 (wide open)
Lenses which do not cover Super 35mm may vignette.
Very important that the Pro35 adapter has a white shading correction done with the camera it is to be used on. Otherwise magenta and green discoloration can be visible in the image.
